Radical guys. Radical.
how long did it take you to build that?
WOW are there a lot of cool mocs at Brickworld this year! Good thing our airships were shoved in the annex to make room for all these cool mocs!

Good to see you guys are as cynical as ever.
ReplyDeletewhat happened, you guys did a collaborative display with moving(ish) parts and everything......
ReplyDeleteThere should be a one example of one set on display per show rule. Votes are taken on who gets to keep theirs intact and the remainder are ceremonially smashed.
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone even bring a set to a con? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
ReplyDeleteWhat, no Pet Shops? FOR SHAME
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, train LUGs are so guilty of this. One year my LUG had four Cafe Corners in a single block. I have grown to hate those HOTEL signs.
This thread was just brought to my attention. I appreciate the sentiment regarding MOCs but I am disappointed in the "annex" comment. If anyone has any real ideas on how to keep displays as true MOCs instead of kit collections, please submit a comment on the Brickworld web site. No promises on what we can do. But we are always open to ideas. Regarding the "hole" in a train layout, we are already working to resolve these for 2012. And, PennLUG apologized for their hole last year. It was unintended. The castle layout is also already under scrutiny for oversized water. This year will be the toughest on space ever. So, we will be trying to raise awareness about quality, not quantity. And, collaborations will get top billing (yes, train clubs are collaborations) :) ...we are always open to comments (even teh cynical ones)...we just want everyone to come and have a good time. Thanks, Bryan
