Welp

Not much happening in the community lately. I guess I'll take a vacation to the beach and just chill for a while.

  2. I realise a reaction is probably what you're going for here, but would it really have been so hard to just not post anything today?

  3. Wow dude. Wow.
Yah the little respect I had for you is now completely gone. Maybe it was the unclever snark or simply the boring nature of trains but coupled with a retarded post like this you're far beneath the mankinder who run this show.

  4. Deliberate train pun, Andrew?

  5. It is also a dick move to expect me to feel remorse for someone who could have not even existed. I accused him of not being a real person and I stand by that. Anyone could have posted his fighters and made up his supposed life. Anyone could have posted in LEGO 16+ under his guise. He is just another car passing by on the freeway. He has no face and, until recently, no "name".

  6. I don't expect you to feel remorse; I expect you to show a modicum of respect (or restraint, at the least) when someone actually dies and a lot of people obviously care about it. And your accusation is absurd (unless I am completely missing the point, which I may be)- his posts were part of his persona. He just chose to reveal less of his life to the internet. Anyone could have called themselves 'matt' and posted needlessly complex snot techniques and wonderfully subversive blog posts, but I would still be sad if you died, because you are the 'matt' I know.

  7. Do note that I have shown some respect and restraint in that I have only posted my feelings towards his death here and with people whom I IM. I could have very well posted something in the various forums and flickr groups that I read but chose not to. You are missing no point of my accusation.

  8. I still think that you could have been much more considerate in stating your sentiments, but I suppose it would be censorship to prevent you from expressing them on your own blog.

  9. It is actually Kevoh's blog. He just lets me post here and, against his better judgement, let me post this. Do not associate him with what I say.

  10. It'll always be the "rubber-band holder" to me.

  11. Just because you don't know the person who died in the obituary or the news from the other side of the world or the Lego community eulogy doesn't make it fine to post a faux-witty quip about their death. Doing that makes you an asshole.

I really didn't think that anyone in our community would be low enough to troll something like this. I'm sorry to be proven wrong.

  12. According to whom? Are you really under the impression that I care? I am glad that I have disappointed you.

  13. Wow. You know, I'm all for studied insouciance--and speaking as someone who never so much as had nnenn as a contact on flickr as I just wasn't a fan--but this is pretty poor form. I suppose we should all just be grateful you didn't refer to it as his "death" in one of your shovel-loads. May his wife and children never see this post.

  14. I honestly think nnenn would have appreciated the consistency of this post.
