Sugar Dumplin' Muffin Baby

It looks like Brick Magic just happened you guys! We didn't go, or even realize it was happening, but we looked at pics. Here are our favorites: the ones with noxiously bright colors!

Anyway it looks like it was a pretty fun event! Did y'all go to this con? How was it?

  3. That truck is nowhere near obnoxiously coloured enough.

  4. Agreed gambort, the zumbi truck was the first and is still the best. But alas, we can't all be godlike beautiful animals with tons of scala parts at our disposal. This guy at the con gets points for taking on difficult subject matter, and I like his cheese slope design!

  5. ^ Ahem... it wasn't the first. Mine was the first, his was the second, mine was the third and that one linked above is the fourth. We've been tossing weird trucks between us for years.

I'm just not sure why Jordan bothered. After Zumbi's latest I trashed mine.

PS. My two are at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=184986 Unfortunately Zumbi's first doesn't have any pictures but it's somewhere between my second and his second.

  6. PPS. "We've been tossing weird trucks between us for years" wasn't meant to sound as pompous as it does. Just pointing out that Pakistani trucks in LEGO ain't that new.

  9. Timg's view is completely understandable. When someone on TBB blags this or when nadroj poasts pictures on his flickr, I am sure a few comments to the extent of "omg this is s000 zanie and original, guys!" will be thrown around.

  10. Oh my bad gambort, didn't do my due diligence on the dates. Anyways thanks for filling us in!

  11. matt> I have no doubt. It will be especially peeving as I blogged Zumbi's ultimate version there myself and I consider Nadroj's not quite on a par with my original from 2006.

jonesy> No worries. If it wasn't such a long-term love affair I wouldn't care but Zumbi and I have been having fun with these gaudy delights for quite some time (until he achieved perfection). One of these days I'll probably build a slightly modified version of his latest.
